ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ø CITRUS SALES: 758 cartons sold!!! Citrus Joe Behson thanked all who sold them, especially Chet who sold 52, and got to be first in line to eat! We should realize about a $3000 profit, and the fruit is expected to arrive about Tues Dec 12th.
Ø CHRISTMAS TREES came Sat, and we have taken in $855 so far, thanks to those who came on short notice to sell, and those who set up the operation in the new location near the WSL firehouse. Trees are not tagged; most all are $30, except the very tall which are $35, and the very small which are $25. “Pay no attention to the painted butts!” Signup sheet passed. You can also sign up on the new club software; see the club’s web page for directions. This week and the weekend are critical. Need 3 to a shift. Surprise reward to the team that sells the last tree! DECEMBER ANNIVERSARIES: Jim & Joanne Rogers’ 45th! We made a feeble attempt at singing to Kelly and Jim, quite off key, but it was the thought that counted! However we certainly enjoyed Eve’s delectable double chocolate cake, with lots of roses on it!

PROGRAM

Community Service Co-chair John Brownrigg distributed a list of our past and present projects for all members to evaluate: How good are they? Shall we continue them? New ones?
John and Kathy will review them and set up the schedule for next year based on your answers.
HAPPY DOLLARS
$ Botsy: For all Kathy’s work with the food deliveries at Doors of Hope, and for the stranger who asked about Kiwanis work after the Bells of Life, and gave us a check for $100!
$ Jerry: Great work selling all those Bells, especially for Botsy’s new technique—it works!
$ Barb: For Joe Melius and his friend who brought me coffee while I was freezing my butt selling trees!
$ Chris: For the great feeling watching the Key Club kids work with Kiwanians!
$ Kelly: For Botsy, because he’s a really nice guy, but he tries to hide it!
$ Citrus Joe: For exceeding our citrus sales goal!
$ Jim R: For Joanne’s putting up with me for 45 years!
$ Armand: My wife had her hair cut by Botsy, and said it was the best one she’d ever had!
$ Chris: For the nice lunch at Hooter’s!
$ Kathy: Took Derrick to the airport; he’s flying to the Gold Coast of Australia!
DOOR PRIZE, provided by John, and described by him as a “western safety program”, was won by Joe Grillo! It was a coffee mug showing a man and his dog on a horse. The man was slumped over, and the dog was driving with the reins in his mouth—The Alternative Designated Driver! Maybe Suzanne was thinking of getting a dog! And a horse?
50/50 for $26 was won by Jim Colabelli!
MEGA 50/50 continues, despite Gary’s best efforts. It will grow from $199, because Gary picked the 4 of Spades from the 39 cards. He swore the King of Clubs wasn’t even in the deck, and it took Pres Bob several tries to find it!
NEXT WEEK PROGRAM: Bryce Cutler is bringing Mario Somebody as speaker

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for ourselves.”
Helen Keller
ROLL CALL showed all officers and directors to be present except Tripp.
SECRETARY’S minutes were approved as read.
TREASURER’S report showed a balance of $39,327.23. Doing well—changed accounts to gain more interest. Ask project chairs to double check amounts for accuracy when turning in project proceeds.
