PROGRAM
Dudley Dorr, Chair of the House & Reception Committee, described his group as the most visible committee. Every week Dudley, with the help of Joe Grillo, Kathy Evensen, Gary Meislin, Botsy Rosenberger, and Ron Wagner, prepares the room for our meeting. They set up the banners, flags, the lectern, and sound system, and at the end of the meeting, put them all away again, in the special green box made for the purpose by Dudley himself. This committee is also responsible for collecting the money for dinner and raffles, and keeping the attendance records. They are the official liaison with the restaurant, and make the arrangements for special occasions. Dudley has been in this capacity so long that he has worked with several different restaurants we’ve used. New members should consider helping out at the entrance because it’s a great way to meet and learn the names of our members. Come and watch for a week or two, and then do it yourself.
HAPPY DOLLARS
$ Colabelli: I survived a root canal procedure today! Also thanks from Church of the Covenant for the use of the Kiwanis hot dog cooker for the Christmas Bazaar!
$ Fred: Enjoyed a wild meat and fowl dinner at a Pittsfield Rod & Gun Club, especially the Hooters’ girls who followed the meal!
$ Brownrigg: I finally bought a new Buick, and it smells great! Also, at our bridge club last night, a certain lady stated she didn’t know how to play, and then proceeded to win it all!
$ Eve: I did NOT say that, and I would NEVER ask for help from John! He even encouraged Suzanne to say she had made the pie she served, when it really was a bonus from Fucillo for buying the car!
$ Pres Joe: Broadway is open again! Attended daughter-in-law’s performance in Dr Seuss, followed by dinner after. Also saw a show at 74 State where a friend was on stage.
$ Smilin’ Gary: Son Scott came from Missouri for a weekend visit. And that’s as happy as I can afford to be!
DOOR PRIZE, provided by Dudley, was won by Jim Colabelli!
50/50 for $24 was won by Bob Pasquarelli!
MEGA 50/50 did it again! Despite Dale Hall’s best divining efforts, he only found the 3 of Diamonds from the remaining 32 cards. The pot of $281.60 will grow bigger next week!
