ANNOUNCEMENTS:
          BUSY, BUSY, BUSY Weekend   HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!!

PERFECT ATTENDANCE:  Eve Ward received recognition for 7 yrs. perfect attendance  

Program: Noreen Barrett and Sandi Ryan of the North Greenbush Kiwanis Club presented the New York District's First Lady's "Catch-A-Dream; Read to a Child" project.  The presentation quickly became a service project with the membership assembling the packets for distribution.
    Noreen & Sandi passed out all necessary materials for the project. 


                    The members then:
                          1.  peeled and stuck a Kiwanis logo and "Catch-A-Dream" logo on a large zip lock bag,    

 

 

                          2. filled out a book plate and  placed it on inside cover of the book,

 

 

 

                          3. placed the  book in the bag,

 

 

 

 

                          4. then placed a bookmark, a Catch-A-Dream info card and Kiwanis info

                                (including a Sand Lake Kiwanis information brochure) in bag and sealed it.

 


     

                    Nancy Davis will get SL Library card applications and bring them to next week's meeting.  President Joe B. will add the applications to each bag.  He will also discuss with Jo Moccia the best way to distribute these bags to "needy families"  with preschool children and also check with Doors of Hope to see if they might know of some expectant families.


                    1st Lady Marlene wishes to target families with preschool aged children.  Book bags can be distributed to Teen Pregnancy programs, Catholic Charities and Day Care and other providers.
 

HAPPY DOLLARS

$        CLE Trainer Dave for being able to train 3 divisions at one time - rather than the 3 separate trainings of years past.

          Candidate Dave for the tremendous support that the club has show for his Governor-elect campaign.

          Red Sox fan Dave - they'll be back in first place.

$        Jim Colabelli for paying his dues before they were a month past due and for the scrapbook of his year as President which he offered to share
      with anyone interested.

$        Joe Cybulski for tonight's program and the upcoming Concerts in the Park.

$        Jim Rogers for the excellent presentation of the Club Leadership Education by Dave on Saturday; also for being able to walk over 3 pain

                   free miles now and for Joe B and Noreen having agreed to be Division Chairs (Membership and Governor's Project respectively) .

$        Jerry Tysiak for Kay-Leigh's donation for the KPTU.

$        KVP:  For Bob and his experience, and for doing this program.  Also, I was in NYC yesterday, and it was crowded with people spending lots of money!

$        Scott Paul:  For Bob’s program…and to all vets, thank you, and welcome home! 


DRAWINGS:
            Door Prize  (a gift card for the Java Beanery to Joe Cybulski

            50/50 of $19 to Jim Colabelli
            Progressive: of the minimum of $20.00 was missed by Eve who picked 7 of hearts rather than the King of Clubs from the new deck.
