Program:
Noreen Barrett and Sandi Ryan of the North Greenbush Kiwanis
Club presented the New York District's First Lady's "Catch-A-Dream; Read to a
Child" project.
The presentation quickly became a service project with the membership assembling the
packets for distribution.
Noreen & Sandi passed out all necessary materials for the project.

The members then:
1. peeled and stuck
a Kiwanis
logo and "Catch-A-Dream" logo on a large zip lock bag,

2. filled out
a book plate and placed it on inside
cover of the book,

3. placed the book in the bag,
4. then placed a bookmark, a Catch-A-Dream info card and Kiwanis info
(including a Sand Lake Kiwanis information brochure) in bag and sealed it.
Nancy Davis will get SL Library card applications and bring them to next week's meeting. President Joe B. will add the applications to each bag. He will also discuss with Jo Moccia the best way to distribute these bags to "needy families" with preschool children and also check with Doors of Hope to see if they might know of some expectant families.
1st Lady Marlene wishes to target families with preschool aged children.
Book bags can be distributed to Teen Pregnancy programs, Catholic Charities
and Day Care and other providers.
