MEETING OF JUNE 11, 2007

WORK NIGHT AT CAMP ROTARY, BSA

20 SLKs,  (Behson, Besch, Brownrigg, Colabelli, Cutler, Dorr, Fioravanti, Glasser, Grillo, Meislin, Melius, Mills,  Pasquarelli, Patton, Tripp, Tysiak, VanPraag, Ward, Weiss, Wurtemberger), plus 3 guests, (Kyle Smith, son of Kevin; John Tripp, husband of Sarah; and Joel Uline, Camp Director), put in several hours of work on building platform outriggers for tents, and a ramp to the porch of the Trading Post, before rain ended the effort.  However, Super Grillmaster John Glasser had just enough time, with the aid of assistants and a huge limo umbrella, to broil fantastic steaks to go with corn on the cob, baked potatoes, salad, rolls, and a Millers Bakery cake, to feed the hungry crowd!  Thanks, Joel, for providing such a beautiful place to work and eat! 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Ø       Request from CoNSERNS-U for support for the “Back To School Clothing Program” was tabled until next week’s meeting.

Ø       Nominations for “Partners In Service” (applications on SLK website) are due at next week’s meeting, so that there is ample time to order the special shirts for SummerFest!

Ø       A brief, but VERY IMPORTANT SummerFest meeting next Monday.

Ø       DUES ARE DUE BY JULY 1^ST!

Ø       WHERE ARE THE BLUE SPONSORS BANNERS?  URGENT!!!

Ø       Pres-Elect Behson offered 2 tickets he cannot use to the Hoosick Falls Club chicken BBQ, which were happily received by KVP!

Ø       Jerry Tysiak reviewed the list of possible sponsors who still have not had personal visits.  Several SLKs offered to take some of them.  We need the money!!!  Members were urged to complete their visits and to turn in receipts as soon as received!
