§ Max Hass spoke college student familiar to Kiwanis - he and his brothers performed at the Variety Show at last years SUMMERFEST. Max would like a group that he is affiliated with Back Porch Fest to hold their event on Sat. Aug. 2 at Butler Park. Being a resident of Poestenkill he is not able to secure a permit He asked that the Kiwanis organization sponsor and provide PR for this event. A committee was formed with Max, Chris Bob L. & Barb. Max will write a proposal for the event & discuss it with the committee. The committee will bring the finalized proposal to the Board. The event would feature appox. 7-10 "family appropriate bands" from 1-7pm. Each band would share in the cost of a sound system 1-2 technicians. Max will solicit area performers from area coffee houses so the caliber of performers would be reflective of a calmer more laid back venue.
