PROGRAM
House Committee Chair Dudley Dorr explained that once a year, to make sure he was doing everything right, he looked up the duties of his committee, which include the setting up of banners, flags, lectern and microphone, etc. for each meeting, and carefully storing them away afterwards. He is also the liaison between the Club and the Lakeview Restaurant to insure all is ready for each meeting, and to arrange for special dinners. Committee members are Joe Grillo, Botsy, Ron Wagner, Gary Meislin, and Bill Rosenberger.
HAPPY DOLLARS
$ Jim Rogers: Both my grandsons just celebrated their 4th birthdays! Had a nice fishing trip to Keuka Lake and caught 5 lake trout! This fall I’ll be watching Hurricanes—Carolina hockey type—who have become the parent team of the Albany River Rats. Right now the ‘Canes are playing the Edmonton Oilers for the prestigious Stanley Cup championship.
$ (“And that’s good?” Art Smith)
$ KVP: Happy to be back despite the cool rainy weather! Only rained 4 times in Florida for the 6 months there—BUT Paradise has fires burning up the state, and alligators eating women! Glad to see the Mega 50/50 waited for me to come home! Enjoyed Peg’s visit—didn’t have to contend with her luggage—she brought her cousin to do that!
$ Ken James: Tent caterpillar infestation is intense—have been scraping them off my valuable chestnut trees every day! {And how is this happy? Ugh! ED}
$ Bob Loveridge: Congratulations to Barb and the Battle of the Bands! She does a great job and is really worth more than a dollar!
DOOR PRIZE, provided by Dudley, was won by Jerry Tysiak!
50/50 for $20 was won by Ken James, who traded it for 2 extra dinners!
MEGA 50/50, worth $450.50 tonight, keeps resisting the best efforts of SLKs! Gary Meislin could
only find the NINE of Clubs, not the King, from the 24 remaining cards!
