The local media have called Summerfest the county’s largest outdoor event located outside of Troy and Rensselaer and by State Police estimates has drawn over 15,000 people during the weekend’s events.

 

This year’s “Kiwanis Summerfest 2009” is being planned from Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12.  We plan for Summerfest 2009 to include a 5 K Road Race, rides; children’s events; spectacular fireworks on Saturday; youth bands will perform through out the weekend and some of the best bands from the Capital Region - Friday night the Red Haired Strangers will be featured and Aged in the Hills will have the stage Saturday night; food booths; sport tournaments; crafts; an Ecumenical Church Service; etc. for the entire community to enjoy.

 

Please no coolers in Butler Park.   Due to alcohol liability issues associated with the sale of beer we must ask that you leave your coolers etc. outside the park.

 

Admission to Summerfest 2009 and Butler Park is FREE !!!
